My Journey to Joy

When Everything Is Different

Filed under: Shared Findings — aunthoddy @ 5:56 PM

I love the holidays.  Lights seem brighter, music happier…everything is at its best.  All of the joy, excitement, and happy feelings are accentuated.  The downside is that painful emotions are stronger too.  Loneliness, loss and all manner of hurts come into sharp focus.  It’s a tough time of year for those who are suffering.  There are so many reasons that people experience pain.  I’m trying to look around and notice, say a prayer, send a note, give a gift to those who are hurting.  Because I know how this time of year can ache…and I’m thankful for the dear friends who keep helping me through it.

Check out what Emily has to say…

  1. Holidays are always tough when you are already on an emotional roller coaster. Hugs and love to you & Daniel, you have so many that love you and will be here whenever you need us, I know that we can’t fill the void that you have at the moment but God will now and forever. Sending up prayers for you to have the peace of mind that you need right now and for the blessing you so deserve. Love you sweet girl!
